Nov 6, 2024 · Same issue on an iPhone on a new iPhone 14: stuck apple maps on a destination and can't stop and add a new destination. Closing the app, nor wipe cache history in google search works. Unfortunately, it appears the only workable current solution is to shut down the phone and restart.

Feb 16, 2017 · From my experience Apple Maps works off of traffic conditions. Most of the time Maps will only provide one route. This is the fastest and shortest route. Maps won't show any alternate routes. If there is traffic for example then Maps will show you alternate routes. Such as a longer way but shorter time.

Jun 17, 2023 · If I want to go to Destination X, Apple Maps will give me route A and maybe some alternate routes (B or C). I know that I will want to take a different route completely from A, B, or C to Destination X because I'm planning a trip out in the future where traffic will be different, etc. etc.
